WASHINGTON, D.C. – Monumental Sports & Entertainment (MSE) today announced the launch of the second phase of Monumental Network, which now includes a series of 15 additional websites and blogs, and offers a new third-party affiliate program including Ball Hogs Radio Network and The digital content platform, which was launched in January now includes more than 20 websites and offers exclusive, original content and video programming for fans and customers in the D.C. region and around the world.

“The second phase of is very important to us,” said Randall Boe, Monumental Sports & Entertainment executive vice president and general counsel. “We are very excited to expand and add these content providers to the Network. Our aim is to become a comprehensive source of sports and entertainment content, and this is a big step in that direction.”

Some of the new websites, blogs and podcasts include: Verizon Center, Patriot Center, Red Rockers, Wizard Girls, Ball Hogs Radio, Talk the Red, Wizards Xtra, Red Porch Report and PressBoxOnline.

The new third-party affiliate program for the Network currently includes Ball Hogs Radio Network and, with plans to incorporate additional D.C.- and Baltimore-based websites.

Consisting of nine shows covering local collegiate and professional teams with daily blogs, weekly podcasts, interactive social media accounts and a team of 40-plus contributors, the Ball Hogs Radio Network is Baltimore/Washington's premiere internet sports-talk network., which is part of Baltimore’s leading sports media company PressBox, was founded in 2006 by Baltimore sports veteran Stan Charles. The media company publishes a free monthly newspaper, produces a weekly TV show and provides online sports coverage and news from the high school level to the pros. The newly affiliated websites and blogs will be optimized with mobile and tablet versions of the sites with social plugin capabilities via Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, Pinterest, Google+ and Yahoo.

Monumental Network continues to feature a blend of original programming and existing content, including the Emmy Award-winning shows Caps Red Line (CRL) and Wizards Magazine as well as Mystics Magazine, Press Row, Monumental Today and Monumental Memories. Featured shows and blogs syndicated on the network include: Wizards Courtside Report, Capitals Rinkside Update, Mystics Minute, Wizards Fast Break, Capitals Two-Man Advantage, Ted’s Take, Dump ‘n Chase, Capitals Voice, Wizards Blog and Daily Wizdom. Capitals and Wizards pregame and postgame coverage is also provided on the Network.

During the summer the Network became the first platform to live stream Mystics games and last weekend streamed the DC United at Toronto FC match.
